Supervisor Wagner called to order the Special Meeting of the town board at 7:05 P.M. with a flag salute. There were eight citizens in attendance.

Supervisor Wagner stated that the Town Board had one piece of business. During the budget process we agreed to hire a senior account clerk. The senior account clerk will work out of the comptrollers office and work for the town comptroller and will support the town comptroller but will also in part take over some of the duties in handling escrow which is part of the overall financial plan. The town comptroller interviewed several people who were on the county’s list of eligible senior account clerks. The list was narrowed down to two people who we felt were the best qualified. Those were the two people on the list who had municipal experience and the personnel committee which is made up of myself, Celeste Lambo the Legislative Aide, Dale Borchert along with the controller interviewed the two people and it is our opinion that one Laura Fitzmaurice from 25 Germond Road in Clinton Corners is the best qualified to fill the position. Ms. Fitzmaurice currently works as an accounting clerk for the Dutchess County Department of Mental Hygiene and she has worked there since 2005. Supervisor Wagner asked for a motion to hire Laura Fitzmaurice as of the first business day in 2008. Councilman Beck made the motion and seconded by Councilman Luna and carried unanimously.

Supervisor Wagner asked for a motion to adjourn the Special Town Board meeting at 7:28 P.M. and go into a workshop session. Councilman Beck offered a motion and seconded by Councilman Borchert and carried unanimously.
